GO8206: Remote Training Hubs Network: Central Australia Remote Training Hubs Grant – Round 2

The Australian Government is inviting organisations via a closed, non-competitive process to apply to deliver services under Program 2.1: Building Skills and Capability from June 2026 to 30 June 2028.

The Central Australia Remote Training Hubs Grant, funded through the Remote Training Hubs Network measure, was announced by the Prime Minister on 13 February 2024, under the A Better, Safer Future for Central Australia (Central Australia Plan), to support the delivery of vocational education and training in up to 7 remote community clusters in Central Australia, through the provision of funding for capital assets or improvements, remote training hub coordination and mentoring and participant transport to 30 June 2028.

This second round of the Central Australia Remote Training Hubs grant opportunity is open to the Iyarrka community cluster only.

The previous (first) round was open to the Luritja Pintubi and Rodinga community clusters only.

The remaining community clusters will be invited to apply in subsequent grant rounds.

If successful, you will be required to work in partnership with the Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) delivering services via the MTUs.

To be eligible you must have been one of the invited organisations listed in Table 4 and have received an invitation to apply through GrantConnect (for Round 2 the invited organisation listed is Mutitjulu Community Aboriginal Corporation (MCAC) for the Iyarrka cluster).

Applications must satisfy additional requirements: be a legal entity able to enter a legally binding agreement, have an Australian Business Number (ABN), be registered for GST, have a separate Australian bank account for grant funds, have no outstanding debts with government funding bodies, hold appropriate insurances (including public liability and workers compensation), have safeguarding policies for working with children and vulnerable populations, have an organisational risk register, have a conflict-of-interest policy and register.

Relevant personnel must hold Working with Vulnerable People and Children registration for the Northern Territory (Ochre Card).

The grant must deliver all three components (capital assets/improvements, hub coordination and mentoring, participant transport) and expenditures must be allocated across these components up to the community cluster allocated sum.

Lead organisations for consortia must be an eligible invited entity.
