Funding for businesses to collaborate on large-scale manufacturing projects
Grants for a small number of very large, transformational Australian manufacturing projects that have business-to-business and/or business-to-research collaboration at their core, to catalyse long-term transformation in the six National Manufacturing Priority areas.
To be eligible you must have an Australian Business Number (ABN).
Applications are only accepted where:
- the project aligns with one or more of the six National Manufacturing Priorities
- the project has a minimum of $60.6 million in eligible project expenditure
- no more than 50% of the project is funded from Commonwealth funding sources
- no more than 65% of the project is funded from all government sources (Commonwealth, State and Territory and local)
- the project shows the potential to expand or promote interstate or international trade
- letters of support are provided from project partners
In the application you must also provide evidence from your board (or CEO or equivalent if no board) that the project is supported and that you can complete the project and meet costs not covered by grant funding (using the evidence of support template), and provide a detailed governance plan outlining arrangements for managing the project and partner relationships.
Lead applicants must meet these criteria at application stage; prior to executing a grant agreement additional requirements include being registered for GST and being an entity incorporated in Australia.
Mandatory attachments include a detailed project plan, detailed project budget, detailed financial model, draft Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander participation and engagement plan, and audited financial reports for the past two years (or alternative information if entity has not existed for two years).
Project must be structured so eligible expenditure is incurred and completed by 2024-03-31.
