Funding for defence, biomedical and biofuel priority industries
Overview
Funding to accelerate development of Queensland's defence, biomedical and biofuels priority industries by supporting significant, strategic and catalytic projects that create or significantly expand sovereign manufacturing or service capability in Queensland.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- be a legal entity and hold an active Australian business number (ABN) or Australian registered body number
- have the technical capability to deliver the proposed project
- have an achievable pathway to finance the proposed project
- have a history of regulatory compliance, including development and environmental approvals, Corporations Act 2001, competition and consumer legislation and industrial relations legislation
- have no unsatisfied judgments or pending court actions or other proceedings against the organisation or its directors
An eligible project must:
- be located in Queensland
- be aligned with the priority industry sectors
- be projects where goods and/or services produced will support the development of sovereign capability in the priority industry sectors
- be strategic and catalytic
- not have already commenced (for example, construction or operation)
- have a viable plan to achieve sustainable commercial operations
- have a clearly demonstrated economic benefit to Queensland
- will not result in a reduction in the Applicant’s existing Queensland based employment
- individual Project stages can be considered depending on circumstances
