Funding for organisers of auto, motorbike or walking tours

Provides incentive funding to organisers of auto, motorbike, cycle, motor home, caravan, camping and walking tours held in Tasmania to encourage visitors to travel around the state.

Grants support tours that meet specified participant numbers, accommodation and regional visitation requirements.

Organisers of auto, motorbike, cycle and walking tours held in Tasmania.

Tours must be held in the March–November period (tours held in December, January and February are not eligible).

Tours must attract more than 40 people from outside Tasmania.

Tours must have participants staying 5 nights or more in paid commercial accommodation (hotel, motel, B&B, cabin).

Tours must spend at least 40% of their time outside Greater Hobart.

Motor home, caravan, camping and walking tours may be eligible only for the days that participants spend in paid accommodation and must meet the same ratio of 40% paid accommodation in regional areas.

Applicants can be based anywhere in Australia and must be able to enter into a funding agreement with the Tasmanian Government.

Applications may be made at any time; applicants are asked to lodge their application 3 months prior to the commencement of the tour.
